School Crossing Guard
Responsible for the safety of students crossing the street en route to and from school and traffic control at school crossings for 2 hrs. per day, 5 days a week when school is in session. Min. requirements: high school graduate or equivalent and ability to learn and apply skills in traffic direction. Salary: $9.39 per hr. Apply at HR Office, 100 E. Perform firefighting/rescue duties. Min. Req: 18 yrs old, valid SC driver’s license, high school graduate or equivalent, reside within a 20 min. response time and remain on 24 hr emergency call status. Attend 2 three-hour evening training meetings a month, must attend 75% of the meetings and 50% of all full alarm responses per year. Prior fire service exp. and knowledge of city layout preferred.
