The City of Hartsville is proud to announce three key promotions within the Hartsville Fire Department, recognizing the dedication, leadership, and service of outstanding members of the team.

Les Baker has been promoted to Assistant Fire Chief, bringing with him years of experience and a steadfast commitment to fire service leadership. Ben Bethea has been promoted to Lieutenant, and John Specht has been named Volunteer Company Lieutenant, further strengthening the department’s leadership.

Fire Chief Ricky Flowers praised the new appointees, stating, "I am excited to see these gentlemen fulfill their duties in their new roles. Their experience, education, dedication and enthusiasm make them valuable resources to both the department and the citizens of Hartsville."
