The Hartsville Police Department has officially launched a pilot substation at East Park Apartments, providing a convenient base for officers and increasing visibility and patrol presence in the neighborhood.
This pilot initiative reflects the department’s ongoing commitment to enhancing public safety, strengthening community relationships, and improving response times for residents. The East Park location will serve as a pilot for future neighborhood-based policing efforts throughout the city.
Hartsville Police Chief Byron Snellgrove shared, “Our goal is to be more accessible and visible in the neighborhoods we serve. The East Park Substation allows our officers to build stronger connections with residents and respond even more quickly when they’re needed. Community trust and safety go hand in hand, and this pilot program helps us take that commitment a step further.”
Community members are invited to stop by, meet their local officers, and learn more about safety programs and resources available in their area.
