City of Hartsville Employees Recognized as 2025 Best & Brightest

The City of Hartsville is proud to recognize two outstanding members of its leadership team, Kendrick Robinson, Director of Parks & Recreation, and Chastity Jenkins, Director of Neptune Island Waterpark and City Controller, for being named to the B2B Best and Brightest – 35 and Under for 2025.

The annual Best and Brightest Award recognizes young professionals across South Carolina who are making a significant impact in their communities through leadership, innovation, and service. Robinson and Jenkins were selected for their dedication to public service, operational excellence, and their continued commitment to enhancing the quality of life for Hartsville residents and visitors alike.

As Director of Parks & Recreation, Kendrick Robinson has played a key role in expanding recreational opportunities, improving park facilities, and fostering inclusive programming that serves residents of all ages. His leadership has strengthened community engagement while ensuring Hartsville’s parks remain vibrant, safe, and accessible spaces for families, youth, and seniors.

Chastity Jenkins has recently taken on the dual role of Director of Neptune Island Waterpark in addition to serving as the City of Hartsville’s Controller. In these roles, she oversees one of Hartsville’s most beloved attractions while also managing many critical financial operations for the City. Her ability to balance strategic financial oversight with innovative destination management has contributed to both the City’s fiscal health and the continued success of Neptune Island as a regional draw.

Kendrick’s passion for parks, recreation, and community engagement, combined with Chastity’s financial expertise, professionalism, and attention to detail, demonstrates the kind of dedication that drives meaningful progress. Their selection as 40 Under 40 honorees highlights not only their individual achievements, but also their commitment to serving others and shaping a strong future for our community.”
