The City of Hartsville is introducing an update to its utility billing format designed to provide customers with clearer insight into their water usage. Beginning with the next billing cycle, utility bills due on March 15, 2026, will include a new graph displaying monthly usage trends. This visual addition is intended to help customers better understand their consumption patterns and make informed decisions about water use.

The new monthly usage graph will:

• Display water usage history over recent months

• Allow customers to compare current usage to previous billing periods

• Help identify unusual spikes or changes in consumption

• Support conservation efforts and budgeting

City officials believe the added transparency will make it easier for residents and businesses to monitor their usage at a glance without needing to manually compare past bills.

No action is required from customers.
