The City of Hartsville’s Tourism and Communications Department serves as the public voice and promotional engine for the city. Its work centers on showcasing Hartsville as a vibrant place to live, work, and visit, while ensuring clear and consistent communication with residents, businesses, and visitors.

The department oversees the City's Communications, Hartsville Museum, Main Street Hartsville, special events, venue rentals, and marketing, operating from "The Key to Your Hartsville," the city's official Welcome Center, which is located at 147 West Carolina Avenue. The Key provides maps, guides, and information about local attractions and events, serving as a resource for visitors and residents alike.
