Surrounded by City of Hartsville City Council members, Neptune Island staff and other special guests, Seymour and Sandy, Neptune Island’s official loggerhead sea turtle mascots, cut the ribbon to officially open Neptune Island Waterpark to the public.

Screen on the Green, the City of Hartsville’s free series of summertime movies, will present Hidden Figures, sponsored by The Children’s Group P.C., on Sat., June 23. The screening will take place in Burry Park, 131 Cargill Way.
The Hartsville Museum is excited to announce the opening of its new addition, The Edition, Downtown Hartsville’s premier event space, and invites the public to come see the new facility at the ribbon cutting on June 12, 2018.
Another summer is upon us and as we make plans for vacations and summer fun, HPD wants to remind everyone that we are entering the “100 Deadliest Days of Summer.”
HPD hopes that we all have a fun and safe weekend with friends and family this Memorial Day as we all honor the brave veterans who have made the ultimate sacrifice.

Due to the threat of stormy weather, Parks & Recreation Departments has postponed the grand opening for the new dog park that was previously scheduled for May 17 and will reschedule it soon.
