Hartsville Safe Communities, a division of the Hartsville Police Department, will be hosting Ice Cream with a Cop at South Park Apartments, 1301 S. Fifth Street, on July 25, 2019 from 5-6:30 p.m. Members of the community are invited and welcomed to attend this family-friendly event. Hartsville Police Officers will be in attendance to serve ice cream, play games, and converse with the community.
Lieutenant Tenyonde Richardson with Hartsville Safe Communities said, “Hartsville Safe Communities is excited about this opportunity to go into the community and interact with citizens. Going into complexes such as South Park and East Park allows us to connect with the residents there on a more personal level and build a trusting relationship with them. It is very important to Hartsville Police Department to form these bonds while chatting over a cup of ice cream rather than in a stressful situation.”
