2018 Screen on the Green season continues with Despicable Me 3, sponsored by Darlington Raceway

WHAT: Screen on the Green “Despicable Me 3,” sponsored by Darlington Raceway
WHERE: Burry Park, 131 Cargill Way, Hartsville, SC
WHEN: Saturday, July 14, dusk (9:02 p.m. or later)

Hartsville, SC – Screen on the Green, the City of Hartsville’s free series of summertime movies, will present Despicable Me 3, sponsored by the Darlington Raceway, on Sat., July 14. The screening will take place in Burry Park, 131 Cargill Way.

Despicable Me 3 is the story of Gru who meets his long-lost charming, cheerful, and more successful twin brother Dru who wants to team up with him for one last criminal heist. The film is rated PG for action and rude humor.

The showing begins at dusk, 9:02 p.m. or later. Viewers are welcome to bring chairs and blankets if desired. In the event of rain, the showing will relocate to the Coach T.B. Thomas Sports Center at Byerly Park, located at 701 W Washington St in Hartsville.

“We appreciate the strong relationship we have with the City of Hartsville and are more than happy to support their community initiatives, like the Screen on the Green movie nights,” said Darlington Raceway President, Kerry Tharp, “We look forward to seeing everyone on July 14 for the showing of Despicable Me 3.”

Following this event, Screen on the Green will continue throughout the rest of the summer with the following schedule:

  • July 28 – Jumanji (2017) sponsored by Darlington County Sheriff’s Department and Darlington County Fire Department
  • August 11 – Guardians of the Galaxy sponsored by Hartsville Police Department and Fire Department (Heroes Night Out special showing)
