The City of Hartsville will be participating and celebrating National Recycle Day on November 15th from 9am to 2pm. Environmental Services will be collecting electronic waste for recycling at their offices located at 500 Poole St. Items that can be recycled include old computers, cellphones, printers, and other technologies.
There will be a recycling slogan contest for future projects with the City’s recycling and trash services. The contest will be available for elementary, middle school, and high school students. A $25 gift certificate to Main Street Hartsville partners will be awarded to each category for the best slogan chosen. Winners will be announced on the City of Hartsville social media outlets. Submission should be submitted by email to Lori Horton at lori.horton@hartsvillesc.gov by 5pm on November 10th. Submissions should include the slogan, grade, name, and phone number that they can be reached at.
