From the annual “Screen on the Green” series to a “Hartsville Heritage Day” celebration in recognition of Hartsville’s 125th year of incorporation, the City of Hartsville’s sponsored 2017 events will be bigger and better than ever. Residents and visitors can look forward to improvements to annual events, as well as some new additions to the calendar.

The proposed 2017 event calendar will feature an expanded outdoor movie night series as well as a celebration of Hartsville 125th year of incorporation. Hartsville’s annual holiday events will conclude the year with more holiday spirit than usual.

While not new to planning Hartsville’s most treasured events, Jordan Braddock, recently hired as the City’s Marketing and Events Coordinator, has big plans for making Hartsville’s traditional events a unique experience for residents and visitors. In her new role, Braddock is responsible for City sponsored event planning as well as marketing our small town to visitors as well as supporting the continued expansion of our tourism infrastructure and managing The Key, Hartsville’s Visitors Center and store.

“From families enjoying a movie in the park to faces lit up at seeing snow in our downtown to  a city-wide celebration of community pride, these events create a unique experience only found in our small town”, says Braddock.
