The City of Hartsville requests the attendance of the public for the presentation of the results of a South Hartsville Housing and Marketability Study recently completed on the South Hartsville Neighborhood. The results of the study will be presented on December 1st beginning at 6:00 pm at the Butler Heritage Foundation located at 1103 South Sixth Street. Light refreshments will be served.

The study was completed by the Urban Planning and Management Company, who have led successful revitalization efforts across the country, and was recommended by the American Planning Association’s Community Planning Assistance Team, hosted by the City in 2015. The results of the study will include the affordability and marketability of new and existing housing in the South Hartsville Neighborhood, also known as the Historic Butler District.  The information gathered will inform future growth in the neighborhood and aid in the recruitment of infill development in an area facing high abandonment and dilapidation rates.

For more information on the study and the presentation, contact Brenda Kelley at brenda.kelley@hartsvillesc.gov or 843.383.3025.
