On Sunday, May 7 beginning at 3 p.m., Hartsville families can experience the oversized  musical, “James and the Giant Peach”, performed by the Columbia Children’s Theatre at the Center Theater located at 212 N. Fifth St.

When James is sent by his conniving aunts to chop down their old fruit tree, he discovers a magic potion that results in a tremendous peach. Suddenly, James finds himself in the center of the gigantic peach – among human-sized insects with equally oversized personalities.

Presented by funding from the Duke Energy Foundation and the City of Hartsville, tickets are on sale starting at $8 for ages 12 and older and $6 for ages 3 to 11.
