Hartsville Fire Department is now accepting donations for its Boots and Buckets for Kids annual program, which assists Hartsville families with gifts for their children.

Hartsville’s firefighters will collect donations beginning 7 a.m. Friday, Nov. 24 on Hartsville Crossing Boulevard, both at the intersection of South Fourth Street, near the Walmart Supercenter, as well as the intersection of South Fifth Street. The firefighters will be accepting monetary donations only.

“Even though we never get to see the kids we help enjoying the toys, it is still a great feeling knowing that we helped to make a kid’s Christmas special,” says Captain Jacob Patrick of the Hartsville Fire Department.

Afterward, the Fire Department will continue to accept donations at its station, 111 S. Seventh St., until Dec. 13. Monetary donations may also be mailed to the Hartsville Fire Department, 111 S. Seventh St., Hartsville, SC 29550.

For families interested in Christmas gift assistance through the Boots and Buckets for Kids program, applications are accepted at the Hartsville Fire Department through Nov. 30.
