Lance Corporal Kevan Johnson and Lieutenant Brian Rudick presented the colors.

 

The Hartsville Police Department’s Investigation Division hosted a flag and flagpole dedication ceremony on June 26, 2020 at 10 a.m. City staff and special guests attended the ceremony which was followed by an open house and tour of the newly renovated Investigation Division located at 626 North Fifth Street, Hartsville. The flag and flagpole were generously donated by Woodmen Life.

Speakers for the event included Mayor Mel Pennington, House Speaker Jay Lucas, Senator Gerald Malloy, and Woodmen Life Representatives Ron Howard, Orville Anderson, and John Griggs. The speakers acknowledged the importance of the American Flag and reflected on what it means to our country. An invocation was provided by Reverend Christopher Morgan. Hartsville Police Department Lieutenant Brian Rudick and Lance Corporal Kevan Johnson presented the colors and Corporal Morris Goodman ended the ceremony by leading the Pledge of Allegiance.

The City of Hartsville and the Hartsville Police Department are especially thankful for Woodmen Life’s continued dedication to providing this symbol of patriotism at our city facilities throughout the years.
