City of Hartsville ends call for voluntary water usage restrictions after South Carolina downgraded to no drought status

After the S.C. Drought Response Committee determined on Oct. 30 that South Carolina’s drought status had ended as of Oct. 5, the City of Hartsville announced today that it is ending its call for voluntary reductions of water use.

Mosquito spraying taking place throughout the City of Hartsville Nov. 6 following heavy rains

After a significant increase in mosquito populations coming out of the heavy rains in October, City of Hartsville Streets and Grounds workers will spray throughout the City on the evening of Friday, Nov. 6. The department will then monitor local mosquito activity to determine if additional treatment is needed. For questions or concerns, please contact 843.383.3019.
