Neptune Island Waterpark

The City of Hartsville is undertaking an expansion project at the Piratesville Splash Pad to build a full waterpark for the Summer 2018.

Historic Butler District Revitalization

This neighborhood revitalization strategy was created by a Community Planning Assistance Team, a group of volunteer experts from the American Planning Association, after a period of gathering information and ideas from the residents of South Hartsville in 2014.  The group’s original presentation is available here. Farmers Markets

Our two regular farmers markets highlight local foods and crafts. They create opportunities for Hartsvillians to learn about and purchase local, fresh produce and ingratiates; the Centennial Farmers Market also features healthy cooking demonstrations.

Hartsville Safe Communities

Hartsville Safe Communities, a community policing program, was formed by partnership of the Hartsville Police Department and the Hartsville Safe Communities Action Team.

Neighborhood Initiative Program

The Neighbor Initiative Program (NIP) is a comprehensive plan with the goal of stabilizing property values through the removal of blighted properties in strategically targeted areas in an effort to prevent future foreclosures for existing property owners.
