Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, City of Hartsville Parks and Recreation is providing free coordinated play through the We Hart Play program this summer from June 26 to August 4. Te’Quan Coe, the Hartsville Play Coordinator, will be at various parks each week from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The We Hart Play program was established last year to engage the community’s youth in activities at Hartsville parks during the summer for free and safe play.

Te’Quan Coe is a Hartsville native and a member of the 2016 All-America City team who represented the city of Hartsville last year in Denver, C.O. He is a rising sophomore currently attending Benedict College and is well-known for his violin playing.

A special We Hart Play final event will be held on August 4 at 5:30 p.m. in Centennial Park with live music, snow cones, and more! The program schedule is as follows:

Wednesday—Lawton Park
Tag
Jump Rope
Chalk
Bubbles
Pickleball

Friday—Pride Park
Music
Chalk
Jump Ropes
Sing -along
Hula Hoops

Daycares, church groups, and interested youth are invited to participate. For large groups, please notify Park staff in advance. Youth must be supervised by a caretaker. All participants must have a signed consent form by their parent or guardian. Forms can be downloaded online here or be filled out at the event.
