Diane DeLucia is the City of Hartsville’s Recycler of the Month for February 2015.
Her property came into Hartsville city limits in recent years, and she said she has been enthusiastic about recycling services since, often filling her recycling bin with plastic bottles and cans.
“I recycle as much as I can, I think the packaging today makes it easier,” she said. “I try to buy things with that in mind, so I can recycle the containers. I try to live lighter on the land every year that I’m here on this earth.”
As the Recycler of the Month, DeLucia received a yard sign as well as a gift certificate to Sophia’s Pizzeria, 128 E. College Ave in Hartsville.
The award program highlights those city residents participating in the City of Hartsville’s recycling program, a partnership between the City and Sonoco.
