Main Street Hartsville Presents Treats on the Streets

Main Street Hartsville will host their annual Treats on the Streets event on Thursday, October 24, 2019 from 4:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. Downtown Hartsville will be taken over by mummies, bats, princesses, pirates, ghosts and superheroes walking our streets and finding treats at our downtown shops, restaurants, and businesses. City Swim Partnership with Hartsville YMCA

 

The City of Hartsville is excited to announce a partnership with the Hartsville YMCA to begin Hartsville City Swim. This summer program is designed to offer a safe, inviting swim program to residents in the City of Hartsville in the indoor pool facility located in the Hartsville YMCA at 111 East Carolina Avenue, Hartsville, SC 29550. Expanded Playground at Byerly Park Officially Open

 

The City of Hartsville Parks and Recreation Department is excited to announce the opening of the new expanded handicapable playground on the campus of Byerly Park. The playground is located between the tennis courts and the track and field area. This new and improved playground is an expansion to Garrison’s Place, previously located just outside of Neptune Island Waterpark. Hartsville Christmas Parade is Coming Soon!

One of the most well-kept holiday traditions in the Hartsville community is the Hartsville Christmas Parade. The 2018 parade, sponsored by SPC Credit Union, Neptune Island Waterpark, and City of Hartsville, will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Sat., Dec. 8 as a part of the Hartsville for the Holidays season.

Neptune Island Concludes Successful First Season

Neptune Island Waterpark opened its doors to the public on June 18, 2018 and concluded its season on September 9, 2018. During the first season, Neptune Island saw over 64,000 guests in the brand new waterpark and projects to see 80,000 next season. The waterpark had over 6,000 season pass holders that frequented the waterpark this summer. Neptune Island welcomed visitors from a total of 25 states and a large volume of attendees within a 75 mile radius of Hartsville, SC.
