Hartsville Hosts Showdown in the Pee Dee II

Hartsville, SC—The Hartsville and Darlington County Parks and Recreation Departments in conjunction with One More Round Boxing Club are proud to host the Showdown in the Pee Dee II this Saturday, September 29th at 4:00 p.m. at Coach T.B. Thomas Sports Center. Larry Frazier, Hartsville native and renowned Golden Glove Recipient, is assisting with the organization of the event in the town where he developed his passion for boxing. Frazier says, “I am very excited to put on a show in my hometown. It has been over 40 years since I’ve fought here in Hartsville. I am just so very excited to bring my team here and I hope Hartsville is pleased with the performance.”

Showdown in the Pee Dee II is a family friendly USA Boxing sanctioned event. This is a national event with fighters coming from all over the East Coast including the Jr. National Champion, Olympic qualifiers, and multiple Golden Glove Recipients. We will host 20 matches with an array of co-ed fighters ranging from ages 8-38. This is an event that you certainly will not want to miss. Tickets range from $5-$25 and can be purchased through www.onemoreroundboxing.ticketleap.com or at the door.

We invite members of the press to attend a Pre-Show Press Conference on Friday, September 28th at 6:30 p.m. at the Hampton Inn & Suites in Hartsville. This will be a question and answer forum with members of the press, fighters, presidents from North Carolina and South Carolina Local Boxing Councils, and on call medics.
