Holiday Sober or Slammer! Campaign

The Hartsville Police Department (HPD), South Carolina Department of Public Safety (SCDPS), and law enforcement partners statewide will conduct stringent enforcement of impaired driving laws as part of its Sober or Slammer! campaign beginning December 13, 2019 through January 1, 2020. HPD is encouraging drivers to make a plan now for a safe ride home from parties and celebrations this holiday season.

It is quite fitting for them to receive this award together as their careers have often been side by side at Hartsville Police Department from day one. The Hartsville Museum presents the Second Annual Darkside Tour of Hartsville this October. The City of Hartsville has launched Citibot, America’s first interactive text messaging and customer service solution for civic engagement with government. City of Hartsville Hurricane Dorian Updates

City of Hartsville administrative offices will be closed on September 5, 2019 out of precaution for possible damaging winds and rain from Hurricane Dorian. Staff with the City of Hartsville have spent the entire week preparing as best as possible for any effects from the storm.

City of Hartsville Opens Outdoor Basketball Court

The City of Hartsville Parks and Recreation Department has opened an outdoor basketball court on the campus of Byerly Park located at 701 West Washington Street. This court is open daily from Dawn to Dusk and is free to the public.
