The Hartsville Police Department (HPD), South Carolina Department of Public Safety (SCDPS), and law enforcement partners statewide will conduct stringent enforcement of impaired driving laws as part of its Sober or Slammer! campaign beginning December 13, 2019 through January 1, 2020. HPD is encouraging drivers to make a plan now for a safe ride home from parties and celebrations this holiday season.

The Hartsville Museum presents the Second Annual Darkside Tour of Hartsville this October. There will be two tours, one starting at 7:00 p.m. and one at 8:00 p.m. in the evenings on October 25th-26th and October 29th-31st. The City of Hartsville Parks and Recreation Department has opened an outdoor basketball court on the campus of Byerly Park located at 701 West Washington Street. This court is open daily from Dawn to Dusk and is free to the public.
