Coach T.B. Thomas Sports Center Begins Exercise Classes

The Coach T.B. Thomas Sports Center will reopen its doors for limited exercise classes beginning Monday, June 15th, 2020. Staff and instructors will be taking precautions to ensure that social distancing guidelines are followed and that facilities remain sanitized. The center is open Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. – 1 p.m.

City of Hartsville Announces Additional Phase of Reopening

The City of Hartsville announces an additional phase of reopening facilities scheduled to begin on Monday, June 8th. This phased approach to reopening has allowed both city employees and customers to gradually adjust to new precautions to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 and encourage social distancing. City of Hartsville Announces Reopening of Tourism Facilities

The City of Hartsville will be reopening additional facilities with modified operations. The next phase of reopening includes facilities in the City’s Tourism Department including The Key to Your Hartsville and The Hartsville Museum.

City of Hartsville Announces Reopening of Recreational Facilities

The City of Hartsville announces the next phase of reopening facilities. This phase includes the reopening of recreational facilities by the Parks and Recreation Department. The department will reopen their facilities in phases throughout the next month in accordance with industry guidelines. Hartsville City Council Names New City Manager

 

City of Hartsville City Council voted at the May 12, 2020 regular City Council meeting to approve the hire of Daniel Moore as Hartsville’s newest city manager. Moore will assume the position of city manager from Natalie Zeigler who announced in March that she would be leaving Hartsville to accept the role of city administrator of the City of Goose Creek, SC beginning in June 2020.

Dog Park Receives Donation from Hartsville Young Professionals

The City of Hartsville Parks and Recreation Department received a donation from proceeds of the Doggie Dash 5K to make improvements to the Dog Park at Byerly Park. This 5K race was hosted by the Hartsville Young Professionals in August 2019 in Downtown Hartsville. The group raised a total of $1,752.76 from their first 5K race to present to the Dog Park.
