Firefighter-Hartsville Fire Department
Perform fire fighting, emergency aid, hazardous materials, fire prevention, and rescue duties. Min. Req.: 18 yrs old; valid Class E SC drivers license; high school diploma or equ.; reside within a 20 min. response time and remain on 24 hr emergency call status. Preferred Req.: Prior fire service exp. and knowledge of city layout, IFSAC Firefighter I, certified in CPR and First Aid. Salary $28,453 w/benefits. Apply at HR Office, 100 E. Volunteer Firefighter- Hartsville Fire Department
Perform fire fighting/rescue duties. Min. Req: 18 yrs old, valid SC driver’s license, high school graduate or equivalent, reside within a 20 min. response time and remain on 24 hr emergency call status. Attend 2 three hour evening training meetings a month and must make 40% of all full alarm responses per year. Prior fire service exp. and knowledge of city layout preferred. No benefits.
Police Officer
Performs police patrol, investigation, traffic regulation, and related law enforcement activities. Min. Requirements: 21 yrs old; valid SC drivers license; high school diploma or equivalent; SC Criminal Justice certification preferred. Min. salary $27,085 w/excellent benefits. Open Until Filled.

School Crossing Guard
Responsible for the safety of students crossing the street en route to and from school and traffic control at school crossings for 2 hrs. per day, 5 days a week when school is in session. Min. requirements: high school graduate or equivalent and ability to learn and apply skills in traffic direction. Benefits: SC Retirement. $9.00 per hr.
